Mr. Rand received a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honors Economics) from McGill University, a law degree from Dalhousie University and a Master of Laws degree in international law from the London School of Economics. Mr. Rand practiced securities law in Vancouver, British Columbia, for nearly 25 years before retiring in October 1992 to establish Rand Edgar Capital Corp., an investment/banking, venture capital company. Mr. Rand is a director of a number of publicly-traded resource-based companies.
Dr. Wodzicki has a doctorate in Geosciences from the University of Arizona and over 30 years of experience in international mineral exploration and corporate management. He has led successful exploration teams throughout the world, and has managed large scale projects from the generative stage through to engineering studies. Teams led by Dr. Wodzicki are responsible for several significant discoveries including Los Helados, Josemaria, Filo del Sol, and El Limon-Guajes. Dr. Wodzicki has worked for the Lundin Group since 2007 and was previously CEO of Josemaria Resources, Filo Mining and Sanu Resources, and served as a director of several public companies. He was responsible for the spinout of NGEx Minerals in the summer of 2019, and of Filo Mining in the summer of 2016, both from Josemaria Resources Inc. (formerly NGEx Resources Inc.). Dr. Wodzicki is a director of Filo Mining and Josemaria Resources.
Adam I. Lundin
Mr. Adam Lundin has many years of experience in capital markets and public company management across the natural resources sector. His background includes oil & gas and mining technology, investment advisory, international finance and executive management. He began his career working for several Lundin Group mining companies in various countries before moving into finance where he specialized in institutional equity sales, ultimately becoming co-head of the London office for an international securities firm. In addition to serving on the Board of NGEx Minerals, Mr. Lundin is President, CEO and a Director of Josemaria Resources Inc., CEO and a Director of Filo Mining Corp. and a Director of Africa Energy Corp.
Mr. O’Brien is a consulting economic geologist and former mining executive with three decades of industry service including Board of Director roles in public and private mineral exploration companies. Mr. O’Brien has international experience on five continents in all stages of mineral exploration and development of economic mineral resource projects, mining project evaluation and strategic corporate development activities. He retired in 2018 from Lundin Mining Corporation as Senior Vice President, Exploration & New Business Development. Currently, Mr. O’Brien is the Non-Executive Chairman of Element 29 Resources (private); Georgian Mining Corporation (LSEAIM); Director of Sociedad Minera Reliquias(private); and President of MOAR Consulting Inc.
Mr. Mullen has more than 30 years' experience in the merchant banking and investment industry. He is a Managing Director of Graycliff Partners and formerly Managing Partner and Chair of Fulcrum Capital Partners Inc. Both firms were previously the merchant banking subsidiaries of HSBC, and were part of a management buyout in 2011 led by Mr. Mullen. Previously, Mr. Mullen was the CEO of HSBC Capital and managed merchant banking operations in Canada, US, and Latin America with capital commitments in excess of $2 billion. Mr. Mullen serves as a director to a number of public and private boards, including over 18 years in the resource-based sector with companies such as Eurozinc, Gold-Ore Resources, Lundin Mining, and now NGEx Minerals. He received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Ms. Pedersen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree, both from the University of British Columbia. She practiced corporate, securities and natural resources law in Vancouver, British Columbia for over 30 years, with a focus on mining, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, retiring from law practice in 2016.
