Board of Directors
Mr. Rand received a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honors Economics) from McGill University, a law degree from Dalhousie University and a Master of Laws degree in international law from the London School of Economics. Mr. Rand practiced securities law in Vancouver, British Columbia, for nearly 25 years before retiring in October 1992 to establish Rand Edgar Capital Corp., an investment/banking, venture capital company.
Dr. Wodzicki has a doctorate in Geosciences from the University of Arizona and over 30 years of experience in international mineral exploration and corporate management. He has led successful exploration teams throughout the world, and has managed large scale projects from the generative stage through to engineering studies. Teams led by Dr. Wodzicki are responsible for several significant discoveries including Los Helados, Josemaria, Filo del Sol, El Limon-Guajes, and most recently NGEx Minerals’ Lunahuasi deposit. Dr. Wodzicki has worked for the Lundin Group since 2007 and was previously CEO of Josemaria Resources, Filo Corp. and Sanu Resources, and has served as a director of several public companies. He was responsible for the spinout of NGEx Minerals in the summer of 2019, and of Filo Corp. in the summer of 2016, both from Josemaria Resources Inc. (formerly NGEx Resources Inc.). Dr. Wodzicki is currently a director of Filo Corp. on the TSX.
Adam I. Lundin
Mr. Lundin has many years of experience in capital markets and public company management across the natural resources sector. His background includes oil & gas and mining technology, investment advisory, international finance, and executive management. He began his career working for several Lundin Group mining companies in various countries before moving into finance where he specialized in institutional equity sales, ultimately becoming co-head of the London office for an international securities firm.
Mr. Lundin is the former President, CEO and a Director of Josemaria Resources Inc. He now serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lundin Mining Corporation and Filo Corp. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lucara Diamond Corp. and the Lundin Foundation. Mr. Lundin studied Mining Technology and Marketing Management at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Mr. Bitelli is a Chartered Professional Accountant of British Columbia with over 40 years of experience in the resource industry and finance. He is a director of Montage Gold Corp. (since June 2021) and Group Eleven Resources Inc. (since December 2017) and was a member of the senior management team of various Lundin Group companies from 2007 to 2023. He was the CFO of Lundin Gold Inc., a gold mining company, from 2016 until his retirement in 2023 and was previously CFO of Orca Gold Inc. from 2011-2016, a gold exploration company. Prior to that, from 2007-2010, Mr. Bitelli served as CFO for Red Back Mining Inc., a gold mining company with two African operations that was acquired by Kinross for $9.2 billion in 2010.
Ms. Pedersen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree, both from the University of British Columbia. She practiced corporate, securities and natural resources law in Vancouver, British Columbia for over 30 years, with a focus on mining, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, retiring from law practice in 2016.
Mr. O'Brien is a consulting economic geologist and former mining executive with three decades of industry service including Board of Director roles in public and private mineral exploration companies. Mr. O'Brien has international experience on five continents in all stages of mineral exploration and development of economic mineral resource projects, mining project evaluation and strategic corporate development activities. He retired in 2018 from Lundin Mining Corporation as Senior Vice President, Exploration & New Business Development. Mr. O'Brien also provides consulting services and is non-executive director of other public companies
Mr. Lundin graduated from the University of Southern California where he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been involved in the natural resource industry his entire life through exposure to several Lundin Group companies. Following his graduation from university, Mr. Lundin worked as a Drilling Engineer in the exploration department for Lundin Energy AB in Norway. Mr. Lundin was involved in appraisal drilling on the Johan Sverdrup field as well as several prospects in the Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea. He is currently a Business Analyst at International Petroleum Corporation in Geneva, Switzerland.
